WORSHIP at CLG

There is nothing more important in the life and ministry of Church of the Living God than our worship. One of the reasons we believe we exist as a church is to celebrate God's love, life, and presence in vibrant worship. Scripture teaches that God is enthroned on the praises of His people (Ps. 22:3). In keeping with this, our desire is to enthrone Him richly.

David, above all else, was a worshiper. In the book of Psalms he repeatedly encourages the people of God to worship. Psalm 147 says, "Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!" By his example, David shows us that worship is to be extravagant, exuberant, and unrestrained. He rejoiced in his worship before God using instruments of all sorts, singing, shouting and even leaping and dancing. Our aim is to worship God with the enthusiasm of David. As God is enthroned in the praise of His people, we believe it is then that He comes to touch us and dwell in our midst.

We are blessed at Church of the Living God with worship teams and songwriters gifted in music and anointed to lead us into God's presence. The atmosphere in any given service is charged with expectation, devotion, and freedom. Our goal and delight is to bless our heavenly Father in worship and to enthrone Him in our praises. While we incorporate contemporary songs, traditional hymns, and our own original music, our foremost aim is to pursue God's glory and presence.
